The current Member of Parliament for Wells is the Conservative James Heappey.

The next scheduled parliamentary election is scheduled to be held in May 2024.

Current Councillors

At the 2017 County Council elections none of the divisions in the Wells Constituency were won by Labour.

However, in other parts of Somerset, Labour won three divisions (Bridgwater North, Bridgwater South, and Wellington).

The next Somerset County Council elections are due to be held on 6th May 2021.

At the 2019 Mendip District Council elections none of the wards in the Wells Constituency were won by Labour.

The next Mendip District Council elections are due to be held on Tuesday 2nd May 2023.

At the 2019 Sedgemoor District Council elections none of the wards in the Wells Constituency were won by Labour.

However, there are 12 Labour councillors on Sedgemoor District Council.

The next Sedgemoor District Council elections are due to be held on Tuesday 2nd May 2023.
